Two children were killed by poisoning sweets not Napa syrup: police
Staff Reporter: Police have arrested the mother in the case of her father for killing two children in Brahmanbaria by poisoning them with sweets.
Brahmanbaria Additional Superintendent of Police Mollah Md Shaheen said two children from Ashuganj in Brahmanbaria were poisoned with sweets.

Ismail Hossain, the father of two children killed in the incident last night, became the plaintiff and his wife filed a case against four people including her estranged boyfriend.

The family alleges that two children died after consuming Napa syrup at Durgapur in Ashuganj upazila of Brahmanbaria on March 10.

Samples of Napa syrup are collected from the shop.
Batch number 32113121 was identified. There were 82 thousand bottles in this batch.
In addition to this batch, two more batches of samples were tested in the lab by the drug administration.
Nothing harmful was found in any of them.
Eight samples were collected from the accused shop and tested.

In addition, samples from 3 paracetamol factories were tested.
Nothing harmful was found in it either.
That is why there is nothing to panic about Napa Syrup, said the Director General of Drug Administration at the press conference.
